Naomi Israel from Santa Fe has graciously offered us a chance to have Rabbi and Rebbetzin Gruman as leaders on Thursday Aug. 5 from 7-8:30 PM at the LAJC. They will be visiting Santa Fe during the first week of August. We hope that you will attend this one evening class. Susan Benjamin is organizing this event.
Quicken for the Soul: Mussar
One of the key teachings of mussar is the importance of making a regular cheshbon hanefesh, a spiritual accounting of our deeds. We will look at The Path of the Just, Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto's seminal mussar work, to learn about the fundamental role of cheshbon hanefesh in achieving our full spiritual potential.
This class will be presented by Rabbi Aaron and Rebbetzin Elkie Gruman. Rabbi Gruman is the rabbi of Congregation Toras Emes of Twin-Rivers, NJ. He received his ordination from the famous Lakewood Yeshiva, and is one of the founders of the Shalom Heritage Center. He also serves as the Director of Torah Links, the outreach arm of Lakewood Yeshiva. |
