Welcome to Los Alamos! Of course, the best way to find out about Jewish Los Alamos, is to just give us a call or email, but here is some information that you may find useful as you plan your trip here.
There's a large number of students that come to Los Alamos each summer. Please contact us (email is best) with any question about this community. Housing a often a problem, and we may have some leads for you. Keep an eye for our Bagels and Lox lunches after Saturday morning services. We'll feed you, just for helping us make a minyan!!
There is a small Kosher food section at the Los Alamos Smith's and some kosher items at the Los Alamos Cooperative Market, but if you would like a greater selection, the Trader Joe's in Santa Fe has a large variety of products and is popular with LAJC members. The Albertson's on St. Francis is rumored to have a good selection at times as well.
There are several other congregations in the area:
Temple Beth Shalom (Santa Fe)
Beit Tikva (Santa Fe)
Chabad (Santa Fe)
Kol BeRamah (Santa Fe)
The Jewish Federation of New Mexico has additional information on living Jewish in NM.
