High Holiday Evening Mini-Classes

As in past years, Rabbi Jack Shlachter of the Los Alamos Jewish Center, 2400 Canyon Road in Los Alamos, will be offering a pair of discussion sessions at the LAJC to help the community prepare for the upcoming Jewish High Holidays.  The two sessions are freestanding, so please plan to come to one or both events.  RSVPs are requested through the www.lajc.org website.

In the second session, held on Tuesday, September 1, at 7 PM, our attention will be directed toward the powerful passage known as Kol Nidre which opens the holiday of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. Was Beethoven inspired by the tune when he composed his String Quartet No. 14? Come join us as we Ignore the Consonants and Concentrate on “All Our Vows.”
