It is with great sadness that we announce that Beverly Post's father, Benjamin Ze'ev Post, died today (Shabbat) in Tel Aviv.

Dear fellow congregants:

It is with great sadness that I announce that Beverly Post's father, Benjamin Ze'ev Post, died today (Shabbat) in Tel Aviv. 

Ben (born Berthold Postawelski) was born in Germany and, as a small child, fled with his family to Jerusalem when the Nazis came to power. He fought in Israel's War of Independence. In the last few years, he and his Tel Aviv-born wife had moved back to Israel full-time. Ben was fortunate to have lived a long, healthy life. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and his mind was active and curious until the very end.

Beverly will be sitting shiva at our house, starting tomorrow (Sunday, Dec 21) through Wednesday, December 24th. Then she will join her sister to complete the week of mourning in New York City.  We will hold brief services at our house on the following schedule…
